I have a question for conservatives, libertarians, tea party members, right-wingers, etc. What is more important, stopping any new measure that raises tax revenue or reducing the budget deficit?
You can also ask them: when handed a budget surplus, whats more important? Handing out tax cuts or paying down the debt?
I didn't say new taxes, although I don't think that should be ruled out either to further reduce the deficit.
The OP asks a question that equates to "do you still beat your wife?". Isn't that deflection from the actual issue?
Two things, you cannot spend yourself into deficit reduction nor prosperity. Secondly, yes, block all tax raises until measures are taken to stop what got us the deficit in the first place which is overspending.

I didn't say anything about spending. So what are you talking about?
Your premise would be moot if Americans paid for the government they want. Not a hard concept.
All Americans or just the wealthy (whatever that is)?
