The OP asks a question that equates to "do you still beat your wife?". Isn't that deflection from the actual issue?

Two things, you cannot spend yourself into deficit reduction nor prosperity. Secondly, yes, block all tax raises until measures are taken to stop what got us the deficit in the first place which is overspending.
