WOW, a girl gets violated and humiliated in more ways than one, and you doubt she wouldn't learn from it? Do you doubt that the boys will learn anything as well?

The girl got fingered which is sexual assault but I doubt she internalized any humiliation being drunk and passed out. The boys got JV, and while they'll probably only serve about 6 months to 1 year before getting out, they'll be registered sex offenders for the rest of their lives.
As for this fingering thing, it happens so much to people passed out that I'm sure the boys didn't even know it was illegal. It's certainly misleading to call it rape.

They are jealous of anyone that is. Plus, sports actually rewards people on outcomes. Not because they play the victim and/or race card.
No--that's not it. I'm a small town midwesterner, and my boys play football (and wrestle, and do track, and summer private league select baseball). It has nothing to do with football and being from a small town. It DOES have everything to do with creating a culture in ANY town where, for whatever reason, a group of kids are treated like gods who can do no wrong, and who believe they won't be accountable for their actions because the community will fall in behind them, no matter what they do. I live in Nebraska--a state that's about as football crazy as it gets--and I can tell you right now that the star athletes in my community aren't treated that way, and wouldn't be treated that way. Football is a game. When you make it more than that, there's a problem.
