That is how power works.
That should serve as motivation to not be poor. Earn some money an they afford a nice place in St. Louis.

People complain about the poor because the poor don't work or pay their way. It is not about power but the more you depend on someone else the more power you give up to them. So the democrats in power take from hard working Americans claiming they are looking out for the poor but did you notice that the poor got anything extra. Not much if any, yet the democrats will keep using these words because they know it works. Do you really think the poor will vote for anyone that says "jobs, jobs, jobs"

That is what people claim, despite the fact that corporate welfare uses up more money than regular welfare. I've heard all of this before.

Yea you would think so but instead they keep demanding more and expecting you and me to go to work to put food on their table. People are damn sick of it! Aside from the disabled, put a time limit on it.

Now back to the subject:

You don't understand how inflation hurts the poor the most yet Obama keeps printing and think it is good for you? Middle class fight for that raise, it won't matter, inflation will eat up more than you get IF you get a raise.

You must understand that this is all about power. Yes, it would be a good idea not to be power, but what if you were born poor?

An education might help, but the last time I checked, jobs in East St. Louis are scarce. And alot of people don't have cars. The question is this. What do we do about lack of transportation, lack of jobs, and bad schools. I'm not saying there aren't solutions, because there are solutions. I'm trying to say that you're "let them eat cake" mentality is not the right way to approach this situation. It isn't as simple as you think.

The second poster was MTAtech who said you were creating strawmen.

I realize that I am not being open minded about what second poster means, but it is due to the unambiguity of our numbering system.

So how does inflation "not" hurt the poor?
You can't even stop yourself from asking people to make negative assertions.

Back up your own opinions.

Inflation does indeed hurt the poor when the minimum wage rises slower than inflation and the top one pct take an ever larger share of national income. The remedy is not stop inflation, which essentially means stop growth, but institute policies that share income more equitably -- like the tax policies 60 years ago.

The top 1% provide a service or produce and if that service or product is something that the population wants people buy it. If not, the company failed, the business owner loses everything.

Share income? Its a damn money grab from the people on the left. They don't want to work for it but they sure want everyone to share. How about sharing the labor (including on welfare).

You sound like a bunch of babies. MOoom he got more than me!

They don't even understand something so basics. No wonder democrats and liberals and the poor money grabbers can not understand that higher taxes hurt the poor and middle class in the end. These people support the money grab and actually think they will get it.

The politicians have to be laughing their asses off.
So you're saying that poor people shouldn't vote?
