Someone told George Bush, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Then, Cheney told Bush, "Let's break it!"

Shake and Break!

Kerry and Gore were presidents? The fact is, we do not know how Gore (Bush's opponent in 2000) would have handled 9/11.

Yeah the last group that killed over 3400 of you came into ports of entry OTHER than your stupid borders, or hadn't you gleaned that little tid-bit yet.

You gave them visitor's visas for chrissake!

Your border paranoia borders on the upper ranges of the OCD scale. Fugging pun intended!

Note to self:
When you insinuate that Bush never lied to the American people (and you can't even do the simplest research to show that he did), it really destroys your credibility and makes you look foolish:

Same as above, the "specific requests" did NOT go to HIM but to the State Department along with thousands of other requests daily.
Just is an example of the radical right and left posts that show the sad state of our nation.
If you still are in complete denial of what the Bush Administration knew before 9/11, and want to give him a pass, then read this article in the Washington Post:

Two Months Before 9/11, an Urgent Warning to Rice

Quote:
On July 10, 2001, two months before the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, then-CIA Director George J. Tenet met with his counterterrorism chief, J. Cofer Black, at CIA headquarters to review the latest on Osama bin Laden and his al-Qaeda terrorist organization. Black laid out the case, consisting of communications intercepts and other top-secret intelligence showing the increasing likelihood that al-Qaeda would soon attack the United States. It was a mass of fragments and dots that nonetheless made a compelling case, so compelling to Tenet that he decided he and Black should go to the White House immediately.
CIA Director George Tenet felt it was an URGENT matter, and needed to be dealt with IMMEDIATELY!

Bush felt it was time to take a full month long August vacation in Crawford!

I realize you all don't like Bush, but use some common sense. You can't blame someone for not being on high alert before the first surprise attack.

And the really hypocritical thing is, you all are the same people who excuse Obama for Benghazi when he had not one but two specific requests for additional security for that particular embassy and denied both requests.
The president was warned of an impending threat of terrorism. He failed to act. The attack came, Americans died, and now the administration is covering up the truth. Sound familiar?

Blame Obama for four deaths in Libya. But don’t blame Bush for nearly 3,000 deaths in New York....?!!

Ironic, isn't it. If Bush would have really kept America safe, 9/11/01 would never have happened. The bombing of the WTC earlier {1993} was a definite warning to us.

Why did Israeli airlines have fortified cockpit doors but American airliners did not? If anyone nearly knows how to prevent or stop terrorists and terrorism, it would be Israel, since they have had so much experience regarding it.
Ah well, this is all hindsight now. There's things our government can do to try to keep Americans safe, but there's only so much they can do before the next terrorist finds a hole in the system. What happened on 9/11/01 took years to plan.

Yeah, that'd require you to regain some sort of common sense and moral imperatives and we all know how that'll fly.

And while all of THIS was going on ... Bush felt it was a good time to leave the White House, and spend the entire month of August 2001 on vacation in Crawford!
It makes you wonder if he knew what was going to happen so he can start a war in Iraq.
