Its not strong enough. They should be tried as adults and put in jail so they get raped. I hope their lives are destroyed for good and they die as crack addicts.

My son has this on now. I didn't hear the actual verdict - but I can hear all the crying in the courtroom. It's very sad; their actions; now their lives and that of the girl are forever changed. What little sentencing I heard sounded pretty light to me.

I wonder if the girl cried and begged ~ and what kind of mercy was shown to her.

I hope that they get gang raped in juvie and someone records it and places it in social media so that they're as humiliated as the girl.

Seems they are big guys on the campus when it comes to a girl passed out. One not so big in court tho.

Quote:
Thomas Lipps delivered a guilty verdict Sunday morning in the Steubenville rape trial, calling the situation "profane" and "ugly" as one of the boys cried aloud on a video feed streamed across America and the case headed into sentencing.
The Steubenville Verdict Is in, and These Boys Are Guilty - Connor Simpson - The Atlantic Wire

Seems the sentencing could be juvi hall until they are 21. Good. They have no idea what they are in store for over the next 3/4 years. There won't be any girls there for them to take advantage of. I hoped they get passed around over and over every day and relive the horror that girl went through - except they will be conscious.

i agree they should be in jail, BUT... my beef is why is everyone acting as if its legal for a 16yr old to drink? Shows her credibility.

Highly unlikely that anyone posting on CD was a juror.
So any feelings about the case will be based mostly on ignorance of the facts.

Way too light of a sentence.

Is this the case with the "she's dead" guy making jokes in the video while his friends raped the girl? I don't pretend to be a fan of our juvenile justice system and this is one of the many reasons. It's amazing that a two men can be found guilty of raping someone but not go to an adult prison because they're "children". If they are old enough and physically and mentally mature enough to rape someone, then they are not children and should not be treated as such.
