I saw that on the news. They were talking to the company owner in Maine who does the eggs. He was pleading with them for weeks that they weren't going to meet the deadline for the usual number of eggs. They did get an order in but they only have time to make a portion of the eggs.

This WH obviously doesn't have their act together. They are SO far behind on hiring, and of course Melania hasn't deigned to move in.

This is usually the domain of the First Lady, but she is so uninterested in the role that we effectively have no First Lady right now. She hasn't even bothered to hire staff yet, which is why this event almost didn't happen. As it is, it will be about half the size it usually is because it was so poorly planned. Par for the course for this administration.

As many others have said elsewhere, the Easter Egg Roll is quite a big event and probably the biggest public event including many types of Americans at one time.
Melania screwed the pooch on this one and though it may seem trivial, I do believe the lackluster energy put into this event is emblematic of the mediocrity of this administration as a whole. Its amateur hour.
