People should do themselves a favor and every day read DrudgeReport.com and go to InfoWars.com and from there follow up yourself on anything you think sounds outlandish. Then when you find out it is the true blue truth,if nothing else, spread the word!
ROTFLMAO! InfoWars?
You. Are. Adorable.

I don't know about the tunnel people. Tunnel people were only covered in part of the article but if I were the truck driver ordered to drive the food to the landfill or the banker who ordered the food from the bankrupt grocery store to go the landfill, I would have made sure that food ended up with the hungry people and not dumped in a landfill.

This is nothing new, people have been living in the tunnels under NYC for years and years, google "Mole People", see for yourselves
BARNES & NOBLE | Mole People: Life in the Tunnels beneath New York City by Jennifer Toth | NOOK Book (eBook), Paperback, Hardcover

That book came out in 1995, (and they were down there loooong before that) still wanna blame it all on O?

Exactly. Liberals are running this country now and liberals do not care about impoverished Americans. With Obama in the White House, the liberals are insisting that everything is wonderful, the homeless no longer exist. Any Americans without a job is just too lazy to work and so Obama must reward all that cheap illegal labor with citizenship and yet more visa programs.

The homeless are to be completely ignored by the mass media when a democrat is in the White House. There can only be reporting on tent cities when it's a republican in charge.

Rich Wall Street bankers got bailed out and that is all that matters. Communism at it's finest.

Correct. In the 90s, Penn Station was filled with homeless people late at night..every night.

This is nothing new.

Yes -- but that's the whole point. Obama has done absolutely nothing for these people in spite of throwing away many trillions of dollars. Anti-poverty programs are only creating more poverty.

I am a huge fan of Agent Pendergast books. One of the recent ones I read was about NYC tunnel people. It prompted me to do research on tunnel people. I had no idea it was as 'developed' as it is, having its own form of hierarchy.

The book I read gave credit to Jennifer Toth's book, and that's where I did further research.

"Tunnel families" and growing Obamavilles (tent cities) are nothing new but I agree the media doesn't do enough to report on this growing problem.

"60 Minutes" broadcast a special report two years ago called "Hard Times Generation" about homeless families in Florida living out of their cars. The video is on YouTube. I remember it got a huge response because the following week "60 Minutes" said many viewers contacted them to find out how to send money to the families and a few of the homeless families were offered jobs or shelter.

That was the last time I remember the mainstream media focusing on homeless families. They need to report on this situation more than they do. It's a national crisis that shouldn't be happening. But as we've seen with the Kermit Gosnell coverage, the media as a whole leans liberal and is reluctant to show anything that might show Obama or the Democrats in a bad light, or if it strays from the media narrative that we're in a "recovering economy".

Our media is in a sad state and the country pays mightily for it as they steer us into becoming a far more uninformed, misinformed, and polarized nation.
