What do you mean "prepared for?" Half of these nuts are freakin praying for something like the LA riots so they can unload their eight tons of armor-piercing bullets and look like big men in the process. Have you seen James Yeager's videos?
I personally hope I never have to shoot at anything other than paper at the range but that's just me. Besides, target shooting is fun. You should try it sometime.

I did it once with a 9mm Glock. I was not instilled with a rush of adrenaline or a sense of power that my friends insisted I would be. But I would be fully supportive of gun ranges renting all sorts of interesting weapons for use only at their facility -- in exchange for making those illegal for possession.
You have no idea how badly that hurts my feelings.
It wasn't meant to hurt your feelings. Unlike you I can actually have this discussion without resorting to petty insults hurled at those I disagree with.
Really? I can think of 26 good reasons to make them illegal. 26 first graders and educators who didn't have a chance to run out the door while the shooter was reloading 10 round magazines.
You don't know what you're talking about.
How long do you think it actually takes to replace a spent 10rd mag with an already loaded, full 10rd mag? 2-3 secs?
Possession of a nuclear device is not relevant to this topic
The hell it ain't.
Quote:
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
A nuclear weapon is an arm. See, the point here is to demonstrate that gun advocates are not able to say how much power is enough power. They scream when Congress wants to make assault rifles illegal, yet are baffled when someone asks about the upper limit to the second amendment. I think it's a totally relevant point which clearly shows the futility of this debate.
Magazine limits wouldn't help? Why don't you tell that to the survivors of the Arizona shooting who subdued the shooter while he was reloading. How many lives do you think were saved then?
Do you not recognize the contradictions in your statements? If reloading is insignificant, then a law abiding citizen with 10 round magazines is not at a disadvantage versus a criminal with illegal 30 round mags. Furthermore, as you've already stated, the good guys don't come packing for a shootout... how many people do you know that conceal or open carry a gun with a 30-round magazine? I live in Texas with many friends who carry, all with magazines in the 10-15 round range.
clearly you say personal attack where it was clearly indicated that it was not. you conviently quoted me and deleted where i said what i meant by "ignorant". nice.
There is no contradiction in what I said, you are again on purpose changing what I said.
The bad guy will have lots of ammo and lots of mags. Most law abiding people who carry, will only have the mag in their weapon. if that weapon is limited, they are limited.
the bad guy will simply carry more mags. dont be silly.
