"Obama's a moderate, what did you expect?"
lesser of two evils rationalization
"Romney would've been better?"

An opinion piece written by someone on the ultra-left whose life is devoted to complaining about Monsanto is considered a credible source for a discussion? Must be a slow news day someplace.

the puppet master wanted obama to support it.
it would have been whoever was president.
the real shot callers made deals and obama supported the bill. he is no different than bush, clinton, etc.... they all obey the puppetmaster.

Hey, find a way to bring back the line item veto.

From Bloomburg:
"The measure, tucked into a bill to fund the federal government through Sept. 30, was backed by Republican Senator Roy Blunt from Monsanto’s home state of Missouri. The provision allows farmers to plant products developed by the world’s biggest seed seller while their approval is being challenged in federal court."

Now what was that OP?

Why didn't Obama just veto the entire bill?

In before "it wasn't politically viable"
