what is the reason for every president (left/right) having a presidential library? it would be nice to see a president stand up and say " i dont want no stupid library". what is the reason for this? i dont care where the $$ comes from, but it would be nice to see a president stand up to this silly thing.
A library, really? that is so stupid.

I'm pretty sure thats where they store all of the Presidents documents after their dead. Something that historians value greatly.

You could start with the Wikipedia page that gives you a decent overview and answers the general question for you.

If a person achieves the highest office in the US, then I think they should be dedicated a library in their honor.

LOL. Each former president has his own library. It's more like a museum...not a book suppository.
