Meet the new Commerce Secretary..Penny Pritzker. She was in line for this spot in 2008 but involved in legal messes at the time. Pretty interesting history of this woman.
And her qualifications ?
She has money, lots of money and is part of the "Chicago Royalty".
She also has good insight into the corrupt banking practices and how they were run since she was involved in her own subprime mess herself and drove her bank into bankruptcy. But $460 million paid to the government got her forgiveness.
She also has good insight to "offshore banking practices" with multiple ongoing disputes with the IRS over her offshore tax havens.
She will be a great asset for labor since the AFL-CIO have registered many worker violation complaints against the Hyatt hotel chain.
