Suicide Epimemic

More American soldiers are dying from suicide than combat. Continuing to treat symptoms without addressing the cause will only allow those rates to continue climbing..... and Bush and Obama equally share the blame on this one.

I love all the compassion and care for your fellow man expressed here on C-D. Sometimes I wonder if some of you are really this callous in real life.

People like that contribute to the kind of unsupportive communities that make people want to kill themselves. Probably the same people who want to cut back on funding for community mental health, since it's only for "weaklings" and other undesirables.

You are exactly right...that is until depression or something on that order hits them or theirs and the next thing you know they are wondering why they have to live in that world they created.
