Three of them died during the Boston marathon and there was much outpouring and support and it's estimated 30 million dollars were collected from donations!

However, seven of them died in Afghanistan and yet, I hardly see anything in the media or financial support going to these families. Actually make that 19 if you count for the entire week!!!

everyone's life is equal and everyone's death is the same...

I completely agree. As a society, our priorities are completely out of whack. Some on here will even say those soldiers killed in Afghanistan deserved it.

I dunno about deserve, but they certainly didn't belong there.
And anyone who enlists to do the fed governments dirty work is a dumb ass.

The left ignores the deaths that take place practically every week in Afghanistan while waging President Obama's ongoing war in Afghanistan.

The left wing media only reports these casualties when they come en masse - yet the DoD reports war casualties every week.

It seems that Americans have become rather board with the Afgan War. If you were to randomly ask someone why we are there they would have no clue, hell, our neighbor swore up and down that Obama took all the troops out after his election.

Pretty silly comparison

When you sign up for the military, death is always a possibility

yes its a strange reaction difference isnt it.
there is not strong support for a volunteer army nor for a war that does not seem to represent the will of the people.
the standards of civilized behavior are different in the mideast.
killing is ok. the concept of a moral killing is much a part of mideast thinking.
no longer true here.
but maybe 50 years it go it was.

I don't think it's fair to compare attending a public marathon and having it turned into a massacre of children and other innocents...to enlisted soliders in a war zone...it's apples to oranges...however it is wrong to ignore the sacrafices of those who protect our way of life!

Since we are at war with terrorists - because they waged war on us first - death is a possibilty for any American citizen.

Soon, most people will not look at an unattended backpack on the street and continue standing by it.

They will begin doing what is done in Israel when the PLO or Hamas leaves an IED on the street - shout a warning and then everyone peacefully and orderly leaves the area.

That is similar to how people who fly now react to a hostile act aboard an airplane.

Another 9/11 will never occur again, because we have learned that the Muslim extremist terrorists will kill themselves and take us a long with them, unless we act.
