Correct, but Ice Ages are enoumous changes, while global "warming" is expected/anticipated/touted/predicted/hoped to raise temps only a degree or two. Huge difference.

Maybe in the lower-48, but with all our mountain ranges in Alaska we have what is called micro-climates, and they are impossible to predict. One minute it might be clear and sunny, and the next minute overcast and windy.

I would not trust a 24-hour weather forecast in Alaska, much less one 72 hours in advance.

A Giant freaking meteor caused some serious climate change just ask the dinosaurs about or well ask their fossils on display at a museum about it.

The Chicxulub impact 65 million years ago was the coup de grâce that finished off the dinosaurs (except for the birds), but they were living on borrowed time anyway. The planet was already undergoing a lot of climatic changes, and dinosaurs were already dieing out before the asteroid impact.

The Deccan Traps formed between 60 and 68 million years ago, at the end of the Cretaceous period. The bulk of the volcanic eruption occurred at the Western Ghats (near Mumbai) some 65 million years ago. This series of eruptions may have lasted less than 30,000 years in total. However, it was sufficient to radically change the climate world-wide.

The climate changes regularly... and then changes back, just as regularly. See the chart below.

This has been going on ever since the Earth has had a climate.

And all without the hand of Man going anywhere near it.

And man's activity today, has no more effect on it, than it did in previous centuries/millenia.

The big-govt fanatics will try to tell you otherwise. But good luck getting them to prove it. None has been able to, out of years of attempts.

Any influence by man on Global Warming, has no factual backing whatsoever.

In truth, climates frequently change.

Sometimes the climate gets warmer.

And sometimes it gets colder.

That's been going on for as long as the planet has been orbiting the Sun. Or, as long as it's had a climate, at least.

And man has never had the slightest influence on it.

Even the leftist loons who scream about how we have to use government to change everything, go back to the stone age, etc., to prevent some unknown catastrophe, have never been able to come up with even ONE study or example that backs up their claims.

What's funny is that, when they do name some study, it invariably turns out to be nothing but a bunch of long-winded claims which, finally, refer to some other "study" for proof. And what is in that other "study"? You guessed it - more long-winded claims, and eventually a reference to yet another study. And you can guess what is in that one, too.

The leftist global-whatever loons have been insisting on impending doom, and the urgent need to give government massive powers to change every bit of our lives to "avoid" that doom, for at least 40 years by my count. Literally billions of dollars have changed hands - usually into their hands - all over the world. And they still haven't come up with one shred of proof that man has had the least bit of influence on the climate changes that happen regularly around us. Nor is there any proof that man can do anything to change it.

***40 YEARS*** of screaming, caterwauling, and doomsaying. All without the slightest proof. Just references to references to references, ad infinitum. And demands that they be given complete power over all of us, to change what they cannot change.

Is this a record?

His logic is apparently as follows:

Forest fires have been happening for millions of years - therefore Man is not responsible for any forest fires.
Floods have been happening for millions of years - therefore Man is not responsible for any floods.
Animal extinctions have been happening for millions of years - therefore Man is not responsible for any extinctions.
...

Just more ignorant and illogical nonsense from the Party of (no) personal responsibility.

So your logic is the following?

Men start some forest fires, therefore Man is responsible for forest fires.
Men cause some floods, therefore Man is responsible for floods.
Men have caused the extinction of some animals, therefore Man is responsible for extinctions.

Seems to be quite a bit to take on for any species, especially one that has enough problems taking responsibility for the things we already know we are responsible for.

What the ****?

I think I read some statistic that 90% of forest fires in California are started by humans.
