I'm going to eat tacos and wear sombrero's on may 5th every year from here on out just to offend these people because I very thoroughly enjoy offending the regressive left.

I thought tacos are actually Tex-Mex rather than real Mexican food.

Every one of you didn't read the article.
"The two Alianza presidents who signed the letter are not Mexican, according to The Daily Northwestern.
Their recommendations were quite a shock to Northwestern students who actually came from Mexico. Several of them fired back recently.
“I’d like to say that I proudly embrace my tacos, tequila and sombreros,” wrote Ruben Antonio Marcos Bours, a Northwestern student, in a statement. “To me, they are a key part of my childhood, growing up in Monterrey, Mexico.”"

"Don't read the article just read titles."

The tragedy of this story is that it's other "Latinos" being offended on behalf of Mexicans.

Nobody does Cinco de Mayo up like the local Mexican restaurants. If you're an Irish pub, you're EXPECTED to run beer and corned beef on St. Patrick's day. And if you're German, you'd better also be queuing up the beer at brats during Oktoberfest!

In the end, it's just bored college students who are trying to find a "cause" because being in college is about exploring your victimization and tilting at windmills. We've all done it, I suppose.

So no one read the article I see. This is a very small group that says it's offensive, and they say it's offensive to eat tacos in Cinco de Mayo, not in general. Many other Mexicans have stated they aren't offended by it.

Anyone painting with a thick brush (which is basically everyone) is doing so wrongly. Not a single person here as said they agree with these students, including liberals.

Its like the Chinese telling us to not eat BBQ and Hamburgers on the 4th of July.

And another nutty thread. Do you realize that in a country of over 300 million people that someone is always talking ****? Some of these threads prove that.
