Hopefully he would appoint one that would push for inflation, and Pau; Krugman is all for going over the the 2% threshold. Since he's a liberal, Obama should appoint a chairman who could possible liquidate the economy, so we could get back to full employment. Krugman would be the man for that.
The only good thing about that would be: we would finally not have to hear his over the fence left wing rants anymore. That being said, do you really think a journalist would be appointed the head of the Federal Reserve?

Obama appointed Larry Summers to the NEC and Tim Geithner to Secretary of the Treasury. Appointing Krugman would complete the trifecta of stupid. Although, not stupid on their part...brilliant for their objective.
Lean No--after all, Paul Krugman was the guy who encouraged then-Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan to create a housing bubble in the early 2000s. Remind me again how that turned out?
