Yes, except Bush basically said the samething. And every liberal in the world branded Bush as a domestic terrorist and "trying to take over the world through the New World Order and Halliburtion." Many liberals on this board said the samethings. Now they are hypocritically quiet over the issue.

Is this Obama's New World Order? With Reverend Wright in charge? Is this his way of hiding his birth certificate?

If you cannot tell, that last paragraph was called "sarcasm." However, those were the types of things which were leveled against Bush. Fair is fair, unless you are a liberal.

That was before the election and part of his campaign platform.

Except that Bush is unlikely to make such educated and upfront statements. THIS is more like him...

"As Americans, we want peace -- we work and sacrifice for peace. But there can be no peace if our security depends on the will and whims of a ruthless and aggressive dictator. I'm not willing to stake one American life on trusting Saddam Hussein."

I'm sure there are ways you could have a more reasonable balance but it would require the understanding that we're willing to accept more risk. I will never criticize the govt when an incident slips by because I figure that's the price we pay for not turning ourselves into a police state.

Just can't show this video enough!

Obama in 2007: No more spying on citizens who are not suspected of a crime - YouTube

So, the expectation would be that Obama would address the change in his prior passionate position, as a good communicator would, in order to maintain his role as leader and not have people think his words are meaningless and his promises are written on the wind.

His apologists are working overtime to justify Obama's two positions as the great communicator was unable to even approach a viable explanation. Of course they could have simply said , "Obama has evolved his position".

Oops! Silence, except for more muddled words spoken in legalese that communicate nothing but disregard and disdain for the ignorant useful masses who are not worthy of a response.

Under Obama's 'watch', more like under his sleepy eyes, the Army recruiter in AR was killed by a terrorist, Ft hood terrorism, the successful bombings by the underwear bomber, whose bomb was set off and was a dud, the times square bomber whose bomb was set off and was a dud, the Benghazi attack, the Boston bombings....all successful terrorist attacks on American soil.

Obama has now begun "waterboarding" America as he tortures the American people with hollow words and a broken compass, his path for America has become a torturous labrynth with no visible leader.
