Really? People don't believe that cimate change is occurring? They don't believe that limiting pollution is a good thing. I know there has been some doubt as to the source or reason for climate change, but only a total nutbag denies it all together.
No we don't believe that co2 is pollution. If you do then kill yourself because you are polluting dear mother earth. Go away evil polluter.
Here in Ontario Canada we are in the process of closing down ALL of the coal burning generating plants. Who wants to take bets on if we will still have power or not when we flick a switch!!!!
There is no huge outcry here about closing those mega polluters down. The difference between closing them here and the USA is that here they are all "Crown corporations" owned by the taxpayer while in the USA they are owned by the likes of the Koch brothers and friends and they don't care if the entire country is poisoned, if it costs them anything to prevent it.
So the US will go back to stone age while we watch the other emerging countries continue their journey in industrialization.

Lead, arsenic and mercury helped destroy Rome and its rulers and claimed dynasties in India, China . Qin Wangde China's first emperor ate mercury compunds in an attempt to get immortal life he didn't get it! His tomb near Si'an had a chamber with a map of his Empire named Qin (Q sounds like Ch so Chin or China) with mercury rivers and lakes. The Chinese sealed this tomb up because the Mercury vapors were so high it was too dangerous to spend any time in it without a pressure (aerospace) suit.
And what does that have to do with the evil polluting co2?? Dear leader isn't trying to destroy utilities to stop lead arsenic and mercury it's to save the planet from co2. Can you even read?

According to an independent analysis by the World Resources Institute, the United States will need to regulate existing power plants and take other steps as well to meet that goal.
In Saturday’s statement, Obama emphasized the economic opportunities that could come from tackling carbon emissions.
“We’ll need scientists to design new fuels, and farmers to grow them,” he said. “We’ll need engineers to devise new sources of energy, and businesses to make and sell them.”"
Translation......... we need another stimulus so I can fund my green buddies crap companies with taxpayer money so when they fail my buddies will be able to steal whats left and move on.
The latest report I read says it is not just an "earth event". Every planet in our solar system is getting warmer at close to the same rate. The output from the sun has been getting warmer since the mid '70s, when they first began measuring it.
So, if our carbon released into the atmosphere is the cause, we'd better act fast or we'll be responsible for destroying the entire solar system.
