George is getting one helluva defense. Those donations paid off!
...Which makes you wonder how much money and prosecutorial resources were spent to get a conviction for a case where the police and prosecutors initially concluded that they did not have a case. The State bent over backwards to get a conviction as a result of racial and political pressure and perhaps fear of a black riot.
If Zimmerman walks, I'm hoping that some good will come out of this and that some of these laws will be put under the microscope and some serious changes made.
It's ironic (to me) that Zimmerman has become the poster boy for the NRA and gun huggers yet his actions that night may actually cause a tightening and re-write of some of these self-defense and gun laws.
How would do reword the self defense law?
776.012 Use of force in defense of person.—
A person is justified in using force, except deadly force, against another when and to the extent that the person reasonably believes that such conduct is necessary to defend himself or herself or another against the other’s imminent use of unlawful force. However, a person is justified in the use of deadly force and does not have a duty to retreat if:
(1) He or she reasonably believes that such force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another or to prevent the imminent commission of a forcible felony
Exactly. For nearly the entire fight, they could see people were looking, and calling 911. Why would Trayvon try to KILL Zimmerman with his bare hands under those circumstances?
Answer; He wouldn't. The only way that scenario makes sense if some Trayvon was some kind of rabid, cold-blooded violent killer. (Or you know, one of those always-aggressive, violent, black boys.)
...then why was did he punch Zimmerman in the nose and why was he on top of him reigning blows MMA style as an eyewitness testified? And why was he slamming Zimmerman's head into the concrete (attempted murder)?
You do know he was headed to the store and not out "On Patrol" ?
Most Concealed permit holders keep it with them at all times.
He passed an FBI background check and was licensed to carry that gun. Not illegal at all.
Yes, I do and what does that change? Being he was not wearing idenifying gear, it was numbnut's responsibility to identify himself verbally. Being he was carrying is gun, he should have acted as if he was not and stayed put after calling 911.
