Yes, They are called zombies. Best course of action is to take refuge in a shopping mall and lock it down. It worked well back in 1978 for four people until a biker gang raided the place, But it was fun while it lasted!

Mmmm....... chicken hearts and giblets, stewed slowly over a low flame with garlic and rosemary.
That was our cheap comfort food when I was growing up. Now, it's not so cheap.

So yes. Heart eaters exist.
