Just wondering where all the hate for (and from) Europe is coming from.

I love Western / Occidental Culture and think we should preserve it!
It all depends on what you mean by strengthening ties. If that means paying for Europe's defense like we've been doing for years. NO! If you mean having them pull their own weight when there is a conflict that affects both US and EU interest. YES!
I mainly mean just realizing that there are 'bigger fish to fry' and that petty infighting weakens us both. Western / Occidental (to me) is the strongest civilizing force in the history of the world and (again: to me) seems to be under attack. I'll have to leave on that juicy note as I have a few chore to do around the house before nightfall.
