The NY Times says that white men are the face of Heroin. Cory Monteith, a young white guy fits perfectly into this description. He died from a heroin, alcohol and crystal meth overdose last week, according to the Vancouver coroner's office. Cory started using heroin and other drugs when he was only 13, according to the reports.
Any insight as to why so many young white men are getting involved with these hard drugs at such an early age?
Silly Corey! Don't you know that mixing alcohol and heroin can kill you!
And yeah, I believe that heroin is growing in popularity among the white youth. More so in pill form though. If I had a dollar for every white person I grew up with who fell into opiate addiction.......I'd be able to buy a few of their pills off of them!

They start taking it in pill form but then graduate to needles.
In one of his interviews he mentioned that he did a lot of drugs as a teen, to escape the past. I was wondering if he was trying to escape sexual abuse. I know sexual abuse is very rampant in many white families.
Most of wisdom is gained in ones youth through dealing with adversity, which in turn teaches you how d=to deal with your emotions. Many upper middle and upper class whites have been raised in liberal households where their parents have spoiled, and protected them from bad things. I'm convinced that being raised in a middle class house where parents value education, but dont make your life too easy is the way to go. Then you can obtain upper middle class stature later in life, all the while having a strong, solid emotional foundation. Making life too easy for someone and sheltering them is the worst thing you can do for them.
