As for the Democratic life style comment, any place with abundant strip clubs, awesome beer, weed and low cost of living are a bastion for any 20 something year old male like me. It has nothing to do with Democrats.
Judging from my knowledge of strip clubs, you can't buy a beer while ogling a nude stripper in either Virginia Beach nor Colorado Springs.

Well that was a poor attempt to move the goal posts on your part. So blue cities thrive because they are in red states, then all blue cities must thrive because all cities are in blue states, it just so happens many times those blue cities outnumber their red state and turn it blue.

Okay. So your assertion is that any municipality with a predominantly Dem-run government that is doing well has nothing to do with the party that has the most power at any given time, but any municipality that is suffering is suffering because of Democratic policies.

There are lots of right wing ran small towns in the rural South and southern Appalachia that would be in similar situations were they not getting subsidized by Democrat majority cities in the USA and their own state.
And Windsor Ontario is doing just fine and it isn't ran by Evangelicals with "No war on coal" signs in their front yard
