Not particularly proud. It's where I live and my being here reminds me of the resiliency of my ancestors. That's about it.

I am proud of our history... I am proud of our young men and women in uniform.. I am proud of all the people that get up every day and go to work.. I am proud of our constitution. I am not proud of my government and haven't been for some time. I am not proud of many americans who would rather take a handout than a hand up. I am not proud of those who believe that the government is the answer to all their problems.... That about sums it up.

I'm proud of my country overall. Could it do better? Yes, especially when it comes to the casino economy, healthcare, and labor regulations and reforming the criminal justice system with more emphasis on rehabilitation and reintegration than outright punishment and stigmatization from society. Other than that, I love the US and wouldn't give up my citizenship if I wanted to live somewhere else

Proud of what? That people are too busy with their lives and mundane things to pay attention to where the country is headed? And that when they finally decide to do something it is only to fulfill an agenda, supporting certain politicians based on social issues, failing to look at the big picture. As long as they get what they want, to hell with everything else.

People protest over wanting equality but they are okay with being spied on by an ever growing government that doesn't stay within the confines of the Constitution.

The only thing I am proud of is the document that guarantee the rights I enjoy and the concept of freedom this country was founded on. That's about it.

I am ashamed of our actions around the world, our arrogance, thinking we can do no wrong, our hollier-than-thou attitude. Makes my blood boil.

Hell yeah I'm proud to be an American. I love this country, warts and all. I can hold up a sign saying Obama Sucks without fear somebody from the gubmit will show up and disappear me. I can go to church (or not) freely. We're not perfect by any means, but we're still the best there is.

Yes, very proud to be a citizen of the best country on the planet. If there was a better place, I'd go there.

I am proud of my country. It doesn't take much, though most media outlets present only stories to the contrary. Take a look at the average American when they don't know you are watching. I see acts of kindness occur almost daily. Overall, we are a nation of just people with good intent. If you are not happy with the way things are, you are faced with two choices. Either sit on your fourth point of contact and whine about, or get off your posterior and do something to make it better.

As long as being proud and arrogant do not intersect.

I am not the type of American who thinks we are better than everyone else.
