I haven't read the article, but I think it's stupid for anyone to imply that the jury found Zimmerman not guilty only because they were simply following what the law instructs them to do and that "in their hearts" they felt he was guilty. Please! If the prosecution had an actual case against Zimmerman showing that he was indeed guilty of "profiling" and of "racism" and of "murder with intent" then the jury would have unquestionably convicted him. Instead, the prosectuion thought they could prey on the jury's emotions in order to convict Zimmerman.

This is exactly what they tried to do in the Casey Anthony case. The most hated woman in the world, Casey Anthony walked free because the prosecution didn't provide enough evidence to support a death sentence, and they were counting on her loathsomeness to convict her.

But in a smart move, instead of presenting a case he had a chance of winning (manslaughter, or maybe negligent homicide), he shot the moon with a losing hand. Afterwards he could say to the media, "I did what you demanded", knowing he never had a chance of winning.

Didn't the original prosecutor get pulled from the case & replaced by a 'special prosecutor'? Lot's of crazy conspiracy stuff from the left (in addition to the outright lies). Police were racists. Prosecutor was racist. Special prosecutor intentionally lost the case. Z caused his own head injuries. There were no head injuries. Witnesses for Z were all liars. Lie detectors aren't accurate. etc.

Finally a voice of reason. The Law stinks the way it is written but he understands the Jury had to come up with the verdict they did.

Jurors are not officers of the court.

It's sad that so many people think that they are.
