You mean the 3 demacrat run cities. The rest of the start is red.
Oh, so that's the reason those cities aren't doing well. Then why does Minneapolis have the lowest unemployment of a large city? It's run by Democrats. In fact, the entire state legislature is controlled by Democrats.
Could there possibly be another reason besides who runs the city?

The fact that other individuals might be running their cities better, doesnt mean the 3 cities listed are well managed.

Not true. Most of the Northwest Indiana suburbs of Chicago such as Hammond, Highland, Merrilville, etc. are blue. Same could be said for Mississippi being a poor red state.
Republicans have governed the state of Michigan 36 out of the past 50 years . This seems to suggest that Michigan's challenges have been bigger than partisan politics.
Pretty sure Michigan's problems have more to do with manufacturing jobs leaving the state more than who has been running the state, although the last couple leaders of Detroit have been pretty corrupt. However, corruption spans any ideology, so that argument goes out the window as well.

I think that poster was trying to say that the political ID of the people running the city is not necessarily related to how the city is doing. There are Democrat and Republican-run cities doing well, and there are Democrat- and Republican-run cities doing poorly. Turning this into partisan politics solves nothing; we need to get down to the real root of the problem.

I'll tell you why the blue Northwest Indiana Lake County sucks ... it's a cesspool of corruption. It's Cook County, Jr.
