Anyone who ever worked on a group project know the reality of socialism.

One person usually does the bulk of the work, but all get the same credit.

It drives down production.

Sort of like unions.

Socialism works in Europe because they have a small highly educated/skilled homogeneous population. Wealth is more evenly distributed and you don't have the richest 1% paying all the taxes.

I have worked on a number of group projects where everyone worked on them together, or we broke it up so everyone could do their individual part. Your example is bad because you assume that each group project is the same.

Socialism is a evolutionary step backwards for mankind.
Socialism is based on the Tribal system where people needed to sacrifice individual rights in order to help ensure survival of the tribe as a whole.

As man evolved, his ability to support himself allowed for more individual rights and less dependency on others for survival. He no longer needed to be part of a collective which made the freedom to live as he wished possible with the only caveat being the pursuit of his happiness could not infringe on his neighbors.

Socialism is the same as saying, "Here, you do it for me. I'm too lazy."

Where do I start?

1. We gainrd independence because we were being taxed without representation. Sound familiar?

2. Do you have any facts regarding the US being the most productive nation? Even if that were true, what does making stuff have to do with life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? Were not the richest, nor most educated, nor most healthy, peaceful, reasonable etc etc etc.

3. We are not the wealthiest nation in the world.

4. Dont you think the most productive and wealthy nation shouldnt need to take trillion dollar hits? Has it ever crossed your mind that maybe our economy is in shambles every 7 years because our system doesnt work?

Sometimes I think I'm the only American who has the part of the brain responsible for deductions.

Look at its history when actually governing. We have been going more socialist in wealth sharing since mid 60's with present results.

So you live in the wilderness fending for yourself and not relying on anyone else for help? Last I checked people are social creatures that survive by working together to conquer our challenges.
