Yet another case of cops abusing their authority, and getting a slap on the hand for it. And in this case, the judge herself should be tossed. The marshal was fired eventually. He should have charges filed against him! But remember, the rules are for thee and not for me when it comes to law enforcement. This entire situation was a gross symptom of our sick legal system.
According to internal court documents, as Contreras was leaving, family court marshal Ron Fox ordered her into a waiting room for an unexplained drug search.
Contreras said Fox touched her buttocks, breast, and ordered her to lift up her shirt. A later internal investigation by Clark County courts validated her claims. Contreras went back into the same courtroom and told hearing master Patricia Donninger that her requests to have a female marshal handle the search were ignored.
Hearing master Patricia Donninger ignored her pleas and looked away as she was arrested by the very same marshal.
There will be an inevitable backlash one of these days. The public will begin to proactively assault and/or kill cops or practice jury nullification when someone else does. I personally wouldn't waste my minutes calling 911 if I saw a cop in trouble. They have made it clear that they feel it is us vs them. [MOD CUT/profanity]

Really, the tired old line about just a few bad apples. I didn't think anyone actually believed that crap anymore.
I put a good cop into the same category as the Tooth Fairy, unicorns and room temperature fusion.
I'm sure you know so many cops.
