Ron Hart, the columnist and humorist, said in his article today that the US is a crumbling empire and is going down like the Roman empire did. A lot of preachers say this too but they can be overlooked because as a group they are not historians. But Hart should have some fact checkers on board: the real history Hart the real history.
First the so called," Holy Roman Empire," was never Holy, far from it. It wasn't even a Roman based Empire.
Third it was never an Empire, in the sense that England was and is an Empire. It fact one can hardly find any similarities.
The United States is basically one big land mass with benevolent leadership.
This country has over 150 million automobiles and a 100 million living units and our industry has over 10 trillion in reserves, trying to figure out what to do with it.
If we crumble; what will we crumble to? Will the states come apart with rivers in between?
Come on Hart; I known that you have an audience that loves doom and gloom but try something else.
