Given that he's only "suspected" expecting anything to change in terms of how he's treated otherwise would be explicitly un-American. Innocent until proven guilty. It's not just a good idea: It's the law.
So the argument for all this is: he is innocent until proven guilty: that is our law and it is a good one. So wouldn't it be better in cases like this to simply stick his earnings in an escrow account to be paid to him if he is found innocent? What a crock of you know what all this is. Sometimes our laws don't make much sense, this is one time. and since when is terrorism considered workplace violence? Call it what it is..

It's not un-American if you consider that civilian DoD employees are subject to it already. It is only military members who continue to receive pay. Couple Hasan's pay grade with how long he has managed to drag out this process, and the money really starts to add up.
Also, there is a difference between being suspected of a crime and being charged with one.
In my opinion, Hasan should have been shipped to Gitmo a long time ago. He could be hosting a Fifty Shades of Grey book club for likeminded individuals.
