What Russia does is not the business of the US!!! It is not the job of the United States to police the world and force other countries to bend to it's demands. There are plenty of countries that don't share the same views regarding homosexuals - especially on same sex marriage. Should the US go on the attack for the way they run their country? I highly doubt that LGBT would be booking tour groups to visit Russia regardless of what laws were in place, and especially with the latest Putin "law".
Before Obama signed off giving gays and lesbians their rightful equality, is that to say every President before him that didn't give gays and lesbians their equal rights were dictators? I recall there was a time when Obama "believed that a marriage is between a man and a woman". Do you? Now that he's saw the light and overcame his "beliefs", I guess he's a reformed commie.

I definitely don't support what Russia has done to Jews, Muslims and now homosexuals, nor do I "respect" Putin for his decision. What I do understand it's about politics. Politics does not involve the US imposing it's own practices and beliefs on another country and determine what it believes to be right or wrong. The values and ideals of other countries do not have to be the same as those of the US.
You don't understand that you have to separate what laws countries enforce and international relations. The US does it all the time, when it's convenient. What about what happens in Asian, African and Middle East countries regarding the violation of civil rights for homosexuals and women's rights and human rights in general? Why does the US continue to give aid to countries that practices FMG, religious persecution, child labor, limitation of how many children you can have, abortion is a crime? Are you just as concerned about those countries or just Russia? Should the US tell these countries that we aren't going to play nice with them because they don't see things our way and aren't willing to change because we say so?

Your current leader has authorized the killing of citizens of foreign countries who have not been found guilty of any crime in a world court or ANY court for that matter. WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A secretive U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration unit is funneling information from intelligence intercepts, wiretaps, informants and a massive database of telephone records to authorities across the nation to help them launch criminal investigations of Americans.
Although these cases rarely involve national security issues, documents reviewed by Reuters show that law enforcement agents have been directed to conceal how such investigations truly begin - not only from defense lawyers but also sometimes from prosecutors and judges.
The undated documents show that federal agents are trained to "recreate" the investigative trail to effectively cover up where the information originated, a practice that some experts say violates a defendant's Constitutional right to a fair trial. If defendants don't know how an investigation began, they cannot know to ask to review potential sources of exculpatory evidence - information that could reveal entrapment, mistakes or biased witnesses.
