I've never heard of Obama coaching any sports teams so how the hell does he even know anything about Olympic athletics. Judging by what I've seen of his fastball he never played much of any sport. He pretends he's some kind of hoopster so he can hobnob with Lebron and the boys who are more popular than he is. If he every played any sport I'd guess it would be the school soccer team at his madrassa when they had time out from bomb making classes.

And exactly the very same thing that agitators like to make as visible as possible as to 'what two consenting adults do in their bedroom' is done daily and made everyone else's business. Employing this sort of chicanerous hypocrisy is classic double-speak! It is condoning cultural imperialism by using tactics to 'free' people that merely dictates what they ought to do to benefit a small segment of the population (which in this case is a hemisphere away). And don't you dare claim politics has nothing to do with it.

If you don't understand the playbook you work with then don't bother cluttering space with emotive gibberish. There is no indication in nature that diversity is a bad thing so let Russia come to terms at its own pace and the world will be a better place for it as nature takes its course, win or lose. The real issue here is how Americans and fellow developed nations make their citizens feel it is their duty to impose 'human rights' concerns on others for the sole benefit of getting access to their money and resources by conglomerates and such. But tools are tools and so have no sentience nor conscience.
BULL SHI*T THEY DO! By that standard are you saying cultures that condone slavery, or the beating of their wives, or the selling off their pre-teen daughters to old men are NOT committing a human rights violation? Oh, yeah, those things are alright because that culture says it is acceptable. lol.

Regarding my second bold, WRONG AGAIN. It is similar to discriminating against someone because of the color of their skin. It isn't at all similar to saying they are mentally ill and need treatment.

As for your entire second paragraph. Since you want to spout nonsense about imperialism, allow a Westerner to enlighten you. With this sentence of yours "It is condoning cultural imperialism by using tactics to 'free' people that merely dictates what they ought to do to benefit a small segment of the population" you clearly indicate that you do not respect human rights. Hitler and Stalin both said similar comments about minorities within their country. Minority rights are human rights! And the will of the majority should never be used to oppress those in few number.

You want us to let Russia be and come to terms at its own pace with this issue. Well you know, Russia has never been very efficient with coming to terms with anything. It is a country in fact well know for sticking to its terrible ideals until an immense amount of human suffering has occurred. As a gay man, I feel connected to other gay people who are being persecuted in this country. I won't just sit idle and say "let Russia do what Russia wants". These are people no different than me being discriminated against for things they have no control over.

How odd.

What does a person's sexual preference have to do with their athletic accomplishment?

That's America today. All animals are equal. Some animals are more equal than other animals.
It's all bullsh*t and needless propaganda meant to push an agenda. There are WAY more important things for national leaders to be discussing than gays in Russia (or anywhere else, for that matter).
