Looks like the capital of liberalism has hit a speed bump on the road to glorious diversity.

New York City has always been a trendsetter for the rest of the country in art, fashion and cuisine. Now two researchers have documented a new demographic trend in the Big Apple that they suggest may be a glimpse of the future for other large American cities.

Researchers Ronald J.O. Flores and Arun Peter Lobo call it integration without blacks. In the past 40 years they found nearly a three-fold increase in the share of integrated New York City neighborhoods with a mix of whites, Hispanics and Asians but few, if any, blacks.

At the same time, the share of integrated neighborhoods in which blacks comprised at least 10% of the residents fell by about a third, Flores and Lobo reported in the latest Journal of Urban Affairs.

The result, they wrote, is an “emerging black/non-black color line, where Asians and Hispanics are increasingly aligned with whites while distancing themselves from blacks.”
Been saying this for some time now. Once immigration reform is passed, Blacks will be pushed to the side once and for all.

Yep. It's going to mean a radical shift in the makeup of the Democratic Party too. Hispanics are gonna want all that loot for themselves.

Heck I mentioned this before. It's happening in my little town as well (5K pop).
And they have the numbers behind them to push this change.

As long as it happens organically, why does it matter?

No one is barring blacks from living anywhere....and that's all that really matters.

The new HUD rules will change that though.
HUD's new goal is to integrate and they are going to tell cities which areas are not integrated enough.

Maybe Uncle Sam does see this happening and trying to change it through social engineering and government mandates.
When you dangle that Fed dollar you can attach strings. Details are just starting to come out on this.

In Big D, the Blacks have become the small minority and been angry about it for the last 10 years.

Hispanics are getting their way with schools and financing.

And local politics. They want more Hispanic representation in Congress.

Unless more and more "Hispanics" see what might be ready to come down and want to be on the "right" side of it. Much like LatAm: the "whiter" the better and even many people who'd def be called "Black" in the US pass themselves off as white down there.

Yes, and it's the whole reason they're bringing in many millions of hispanics --- who will work much more cheaply than can any American.

Where I live, it's common to see businesses with 100% hispanics, black Americans couldn't get a job in those places no matter what. And it's easy now to discriminate against blacks by putting in that Spanish language requirement in jobs that have nothing to do with language translation services or international trade.

Yes -- and the federal money pouring into hispanic border cities like El Paso while Detroit is left defenseless speaks volumes.

Kind of sad -- blacks made all that effort to increase their high school graduation rates and are now being replaced in all the factories, construction jobs, road and highway building jobs by cheap foreign labor.

The only hispanic issue is more and easier immigration so they can all come here and take jobs and that's the only one being addressed by this administration while jobs for Americans is ignored.
