My thoughts are first with the victim of this horrendous act.

I am not sure why this story has not received more attention. When the Duke Lacrosse Players were falsely accused of rape it was a high profile national story.

Too many College football players think they are entitled and invincible on campus. The rules do not apply to them (so they believe) because they bring in the big bucks to the Universities.
lets consider this, in the duke case, the alleged perpetrators were all white, with a black victim. in this case three of the four are black, and i didnt read enough of the story to determine the race of the victim, so there is no reason for al sharpton and jessie jackson to go in and raise cain.

in the duke case it was team members from a minor sport with very modest popularity, in this case the team members are from a sport that provides a substantial amount of funding to the university.

What do you think?

If that's what you think i'm saying, i'm satisfied to let you believe it. You're not gonna put me on the defensive. I didn't rape anyone.

That's the problem with this young generation...they think they have to document EVERYTHING they do. Came back to bite them right in the ass.
No. The problem isn't pics and videos. The problem is these young men were capable of doing such inhumane things to another human being. Read accounts of what they did...it is stomach turning. They deserve every day in prison they will be receiving.

They never would have been convicted without the pics/video. The victim didn't remember what happened, so she didn't seek medical attention for several days, after she heard rumors about the video. At that point, there was no conclusive evidence that she had been raped. And the boys had cleaned up the area of the dorm room where the rape happened.

The video was the one conclusive piece of evidence that proved there was a rape and showed who was involved in it.

There are plenty of good guys playing college sports, but yes, plenty of thugs too.

To Vandy's credit, they were the ones who started this investigation. They saw a surveillance video of the girl being carried into/out of a dorm room when reviewing a tape for a different matter. They turned the video over to the Nashville police and asked them to investigate. They also suspended these guys from the team immediately, and a couple of them were top players. We're season ticket holders and I was very pleased with the way Vandy handled this.

...the four men are charged with raping the unconscious woman inside Vandenburg's room at Gillette House dormitory
I'm curious as to what the woman was doing inside the guy's room, and how did she become unconscious? and/or why? I'd agree the guys had no business engaging in sexual activity and should have obtained medical assistance, but...
