Hey, talk to the voters who voted them in. Didn't Nancy promise to stop funding the war? Yes, she did. All the Dems ran on anti-war platforms. What happened??

They don't have nearly the power they thought they would. Remember they have approval ratings around 15% (11% if you believe CNN last night during the debate...)

Default put up or shut up

We need a time table and it should be announced to the world. It is put up of shut up time for the new government of Iraq. If these A-holes can't pull it together by that date to F'n bad for them. No more dead Americans while theses lazy Motherfooks. If they want there country to collapse then so be it. Please stop worrying about Iran. They have their own real problems with southern Iran being so poverty stricken that people are starting to turn against the government there. Give it time. Iran's theocracy will fall.

they can't bring the troops home because they are barely a majority, not 2/3 majority to overide president bush... so they are stuck in a situation where they can only deny bush funding for the war.. they lack the voting ability to do it... doesn't mean they don't want it... or are working to try to stop the war... its very much a catch 22.. and its not their fault....

It's not a partisan issue. It's not the Democrats or Republicans. It's quite obvious they are one and the same party. People throw money at these apparently polar opposite political parties that don't (and won't) listen to them when actually given the driver's seat. The only people our 'elected' officials listen to are the people pulling their strings. Strategy: make popular promises, give the people the illusion of choice, and then stay the course.

The war will go on until the objective is established: total chaos to implement total control. It doesn't matter how many cultures are erased or how many economies are destroyed. Your opinion won't matter until you figure out that the more important war is already being waged on YOU.

Unfortunately, the democrats don't have enough seats in congress to force anything. I'd say forget about setting a date. Just start bringing them home.
