To be fair, what we are seeing, is the effects of policies from the fed government (policies that both Republicans and Democrats supported) and the polices of the corporations.
There has been an all out assult on workers wages for decades now, so don't expect things to get much better, no matter whom is in the White House.
Im still waiting on you to make your point, you said it doesnt seem like i understood. Posting a Wikipedia page doesnt exactly articulate how you believe i dont understand.
You dont have 30 years of policies destroying the economy, or the economy wouldnt have cycled..
But, even if what you said was true, why then would you expect government to be able to fix, what you just said it destroyed.
The recession bottomed before Obama was even sworn into office. If Obama had done NOTHING, it would be recovering because thats what they do. The fact that its not recovering, makes one question what is going on..
Two different paths to handle a tanking economy.
Two different outcomes to those policies.
We had a return to normalcy in 1921, that brought on the most prosperous time in US history. 18 months to a full recovery and then some (a real plan for stability)
Compare that to hope and change, where we are rivaling the great depression if it were not for the bubble the federal reserve is, by creating cheap money. 5 years of the second great depression(No plan, just a hope and a prayer)
Oh and don't forget that the return to "normalcy" in 1921 is what led us to the Great Depression. So I would brag too much about that era.
I wonder what was going on in the country when Obama took office.....
...something that Obama's policies have failed to remedy, and have even made things worse by exacerbating the economy with new cost burdens, new lost jobs and created economic instability and uncertainty.
