A lot of people facing jail time and dealing with jail-cry. I doubt its about the outfit, and more about the experience.
Jail can mean a lot of things-loss of freedom being the most minor component. Often it also results in loss of job, housing, and custody of children. Things that people do in fact cry about.

So she was arrested for resisting being removed from where she had every right to be.
The OWS was also complaining about those who thought they deserved everything and were able to get the government to give it to them.
