FWIW, if you file insurance rates in the state of CA they cap the executive compensation you can declare as an expense in your rates.

In short, pay them more than that amount and you are taking it out of the profit margin.

So, the idea of limiting the deductibility of salary expense is in practice in places around the US.

The problem would be that if you do this, you just kicked most pro-sports and the entertainment industry firmly in the cojones as for every highly paid CEO there are literally dozens of Celine Dions, Kobe Bryants, Johhny Depps out there who would also need to be impacted by such taxation laws. IMO.

Don't forget that you elected the people in power that make the rules.
And when your side is in the WH you shut your eyes to any wrongdoing.

You don't care that a Monsanto guy is running the FDA.
You don't care that a multinational guy is the head of Jobs Council thinking of ways to create jobs in the US.

You don't care and they took over.
I hope you does not mean ME.
Because if it does you are way off base. I am pointing out the hypocrisy.

No, not you personally but you, the American people, the voters.

We put elected officials in office to represent us.
And when they don't we get mad.
And yet we send them right back to DC come the next election based on their false promises.

I should have used "we" instead of "you".

True. But a big part of the problem is that it is these very people who control who the actual candidates will be. We need real campaign finance reform so we can get candidates who haven't sold their souls into office. Right now they hold the cards and the deck is stacked against us.
