For cryin out loud. Get a grip. There was no concept of childhood back then. The life expectancy was about mid 30's. It was very common for older men to take child brides. Historians pegged Virgin Mary at about age 13. Joseph was presented as an old man in the bible.

Violence against women has been a priority of pretty much every US administration for quite a while. That includes both Democrats and Republicans. Both House Republicans and POTUS worked recently to have some international provisions added to the Violence Against Women Act.
There was a purely international equivalent of the act drawn up and it was attempted to be passed in the house in the 110th and 111th, but it was killed in committee because some bible thumpers threw a hissy fit that it didn't add in restrictions in abortion, because you know that's relevant to child brides.
Perhaps the OP could try learning what he's talking about before just getting emotional and whining about Obama. It makes actual conservatives who have taken the time to get educated on things look bad.
