Bad things like this tragedy are 100% preventable if the gun owners would only act responsibly. They should face criminal charges/jail time for this stupidity.

The parents lost their child, do you think they don't realize the consequences of their actions?

And things like this are not preventable by the government, FYI. People make bad decisions in life, bad decision should not be legislated away. This country was founded on personal freedom, which many of you seem to forget.

Not really. I am a she, btw and I think that when "morons" are granted the right to bear arms they should forfeit the right to bear children.

That type of thinking is exactly why we have the right to bare arms.

Look on the bright side, one less gun nut to deal with in the future.

I hope your next post is about how swimming pools are 100 times more likely to kill a child than a gun. You know, if it saves just one life.
If you were going to post the benefits of swimming pools, I would point out that they are very dangerous and not something you want if you want children.

A swimming pool is far more likely to save a life (through exercise, early death) than a gun BTW. your chance of being a homicide is what 1 in a few hundred thousand ? 400k? Guns will kill you via suicide, spouse fights, accident, etc.

At least swimming pools have a proven benefit

Cars too....

Not to make light of this but the problem is the owner of the gun not keeping the gun away from the child. It's not whether or not guns are legal. If you own them, you have an obligation to keep them out of the reach of children.

Her rights shall not be infringed according to that outdated part of the constitution they always quote. It didn't say a damn word about age in it.

Her parents had every right to arm a 3 year old.

I didn't realize this was comedy hour.

I would love to see you provide a source that proves more peoples lives are saved every year through a personal swimming pool than people using guns to protect themselves.
