Probably an inadvertent admission on Jay Carney's part. Looks like it's time for Barack (or maybe Axelrod) to take Jay to a little lecture behind the woodshed. Carney should be used to that by now.

WH Says GOP Has 'Moved Away From Compromise', Then Vows Not to Compromise

September 18, 2013 - 3:14 PM
By Eric Scheiner

(CNSNews.com) - White House spokesperson Jay Carney criticized Republican leaders for moving “away from compromise,” but when asked if the administration would accept any delay in Obamacare, he replied, “No.”.

(snip)

When asked if the administration was willing to accept any delay in Obamacare in order to avoid a government shutdown, Carney replied, “No."

I"m in the government and I don't want a shutdown; however, I agree with this stand. This healthcare legislation, while far from perfect, is working for a lot of people and I think the smart thing to do is to work and refine the legislation. We know that from Day One, these fringe members of the GOP have been out to destroy this president no matter what he does without regard for the country. They are now using the government and it's employees as a pawn in their game of chicken and are trying to bully their way through, with absolutely no ADULT behavior to work things out, to get rid of everything they don't like about this president.

Most sane American citizens see this exactly for what it is and most fringe, Obama-hating people cheer for the destruction of the country so they can "win."

I've said it before - "You made me do this bad thing!" is the excuse of terrorists and wifebeaters.

Ah, the voice of biased news -- CNS News.

According to this "news" Democrats refusing to buckle to GOP extortion demanding defunding of the democratically passed Obamacare legislation is the "Democrats planning to shut down government." It's like what Lincoln stated at the Cooper Union"

Right. At least, the people it isn't stealing from, coercing, and turfing out of their jobs.

WHo cares if it's unconstitutional? Robbing Peter to pay Paul always works in a democracy, as long as you have enough Pauls to vote for you. Especially a society where your supporters don't look too closely at what you're doing.

Until you run out of "Peters" to rob, of course. Then you may have a problem.

As it should be. The crybaby Tea Party doesn't get a do-over because they don't like the results. The ACA is the law. Deal with it.

Wait, don't Democrats have an obligation to compromise, since they, and they alone, forced this mess on us?
