Arkansas Republican: Praises Obamacare, going to save him $13,000 | Arkansas Blog | Arkansas news, politics, opinion, restaurants, music, movies and art

Even browsing the comments section is interesting:

Quote:
My brother owns a small business. Obamacare is going to save him $10,000 a year while allowing him to provide better insurance for his employees. His insurance agent is groaning about the cost of the ACA, because her commission income is going to drop.

Meanwhile, I went to the doctor today because my annual autumnal attack of hayfever has hit its inglorious stride, resulting in a ruptured eardrum. Then, a trip to the pharmacy:

Pharmacist: "We didn't process that [generic] prescription antihistamine [Levocetirizine] through your insurance, because it would have cost you $70."

Me: "How much does it cost without insurance?"

Pharmacist: "$19.99."

QualChoice is evidently trying hard to be a poster child for complete insurance reform. And don't even try to tell me insurance companies are not in bed with Big Pharma. Seriously.

and:

Quote:
As I had wrote before. My son is married to a teacher who will have to pay 1500/mth for coverage for her and their baby, not him. Now they can get better coverage for all three for about 800/mth.

But I guess if isn't going to help anyone on a Wall Street or some other corporate interest it is against the GOP plan. Screw the average American if they can't afford reliable health care.

Well it could be true. There are many Republican hypocrites out there. Ever heard of the term RINO, or country-club Republican?

Anyone that was overpaying pay $1000 a month isn't smart enough to be a republican.

More likely his premium is a bit less and he's getting tons of subsidies.

Just hate to see the program working eh?
BTW, in a year's time, both repubs and Fox Noise with its brain-dead audience will attempt to own it. What a pathetic bunch.

Already we've heard Republicans proudly declaring that they will protect the Guaranteed Issue provisions of ACA, and it isn't long before we hear them promising to defend Medical Loss Ratio and Age Rating as well. The majority of Republicans strongly support most of what ACA does - they've just been duped by their masters into having a negative opinion about it.

Here's what they will say in the future (the unspoken in parentheses).
"The basic program was devised by the (corporate fascist) Heritage Foundation (as a wet kiss to the insurance industry), and later adopted (but denied) by Romney in Massachusetts - now a successful program loved by Americans thanks to us. Obamacare is just a shameless piracy of a good program, and aren't you all ashamed for ever doubting (corporate) conservative values and ideology? We on the right really supported the ACA all along, but not without (unspecified) necessary tweaks which would have made it even better and which Obama should have provided. We never said it was totally bad - just not the best it could be in its present form due to Obama's meddling".

Something like that.
To get the picture, just imagine Hannity or Limbaugh bellowing these words.
