I know the GOP orders are to repeat that line, but the probem is that fact that no one is buying it. No one also expects the Dems to comply to any 'gun-on-the-head' demands. Why should they?

Perhaps the OP would like to explain how the passage of the ACA helped Romney defeat Obama?

"Orders?" "Line?"

Those things are actually happening. They're reality. And they will end up biting Obama and the Dems in the butt.

Rather poor planning on the Dems' part, I would say.

The 2012 election provided no benefit to Democrats. Your President did not receive a mandate. Your Democrats did not win the House. Which means that Republicans, which DID receive a mandate from the 2010 mid-terms (ie. your President called it a "shellacking") still have that mandate. Elections do not exist in a vacuum. Therefore, Barack Obama is in no more of a position to push his Agenda today as he was on the day after the mid-terms. It's called the separation of powers, and Republicans are in charge of 1/2 of the Legislative branch. Get used to it, because it's here to stay for the next decade.

The GOP has lost their minds and future!

Quote:
While approval for President Obama and congressional Democrats ticked higher in the wake of the government shutdown, approval for congressional Republicans dropped to a woeful 24%. Just as important, GOP lawmakers, who shut down the government exactly one week ago, have seen their disapproval ratings soar to 70%. A majority of Americans, 51%, now say they "strongly" disapprove of the nation's far-right party.
Shutdown takes its toll on congressional GOP

I feel sorry for you. You take a -9 point margin approve/disapprove for the President and celebrate that it's now a -6 point margin.

How does it feel to revel in such idiocy?

Yes, you must have missed the conversation between Rand Paul and Mitch, where they agreed they they might win if they keep repeating it. However, I think they underestimated the intelligence of the voters, because no one is buying the line no matter how often they repeate it. They must have learned this tactic from Herr Goebbels who said a lie becomes truth if you repeate it enough,

How is repeating facts a problem? When American workers are shut out of their jobs (see here: http://www.city-data.com/forum/31723383-post13.html) but Democrats allow/attend an illegal immigrant protest on federal lands, that's somehow supposed to gain favor for the Democrats?

Wow, are you ever deluded.

Another clip and rip out of context job by the right.

The fog has cleared. We are still slowly finding out whats in it 3 years later and a resurgence of panic to get rid of it, gains momentum once again.
