Detroit got the fate it deserved

How about simply "convicted of corruption".

How so? Did the US get the fate that it deserved, when the economy collapsed after 2 terms of Bush?

He and the other black mayors going back to the early 1970's killed an entire city.

28 years is too little time.

No, "idiot" would be a better word. Corrupt, manipulative, idiot.

Hip hop should not be associated with politicians just because they are black, neither should thugs. I never heard anyone call Blagoevich (if that is how you spell it) a thug or hip hop, nor any other local white corrupt, manipulative, thief, idiot politicians.

Even dumb, black, corrupt, manipulative idiot would be better lol. Or maybe a "wannabe thug" since that is what he was. He was not from "the ghetto." He was middle class and college educated. His mother was a long time politician as well but was not found to be corrupt like him, his father was a politician too but not like him. His dad was also some sort of professional athlete once upon a time.

I personally feel the power went to his head and that turned him corrupt like a lot of people who do the same thing after getting a lot of attention and power or fame.

This sentiment is why I was against Obama becoming President. I wanted it to be clear that the countries decline and collapse was the total result of white leadership. Unfortunately there is a black man in office to deflect blame to now.....lucky you.

Our economy collapsed as a result of secular policies from the FED and our insolvency was hastened by two wars started by Bush, while at the same time....cutting taxes. That said, both parties are equally complicit in the decline of this nation.

I found a great picture of him in an all-white suit and Fedora, it looks like he's Kanye West. Won't let me post the link though, but you can find it if you look.

The reason he is called hip-hop is because.......he acted hip-hop.

I cannot recall any convicted white politician walking around dressed like Kanye.

Before you start crying about people picking on Kwame because of his skin color, you might want to see all the stuff they've called Mayor Daley over the years.

If it's just a racial thing, how come other black mayors haven't been referred to as thug or hip hop? Jesse Jackson Jr. just got sentenced and no one calls him thug or hip hop.

Good. He deserves it.
