What an embarrassment to the GOP and to the American people. They claim to be on the side of the American people, when in fact they are aligned with the TEA Party extremists. No wonder why 74% of Americans now disapprove of the GOP.

1. Obamacare is the LAW OF THE LAND. It was passed by the President in 2010, upheld by the Supreme Court in 2012 and certainly didn't prevent Obama from being elected AGAIN in 2012.

2. Holding the country hostage to get what you want and shutting down the government is completely inexcusable.

I'm an independent and completely turned off by the GOP now. Ted Cruz is a joke. Rand Paul is a joke. All of these guys are anti-gay also. No more!

Many people who have never been either Republican or conservative, are coming up with frantic screeds like this, to try to pretend the limited-govt conservatives are disappointing people.

(yawn)

You never did vote GOP.

And you never did believe in small government or the Constitution, so why are you making up fake outrage?

I guess you missed the part where the Democrats and President himself boldly refused to compromise. It's the Democrat's way or the highway. Is that how you want this country to run?

Sorry, need to ask you why you think the tea party is extreme other than some talking head saying it. Obama said he was going to fundamentally change America. Isn't that extreme?

Like clockwork, the first six responses you got were--you were never a Republican to begin with! If you don't walk in lockstep with the Tea Party children, you are an impostor, sir!

And these same cretins will be shocked--shocked, I tell you--when the Tea Party shrinks down to the size that the country will be able to drown it in a bathtub. That will be a good day in American history.
