My thread title sums it up: "ACA Target: 500,000 signups by Oct. 31" I'm not holding them to ANY threshold -- this is their projected target.

I am using words that have clear meaning, but you're reading them and coming up with an incorrect conclusion.
Yes or no, did you pick that goal as the threshold for whether or not they failed?

If you do not meet a goal does that make it a success?

I signed up because I get better coverage for less than my employer is offering (no subsidies here; it comes out of my pocket so it matters to me how much I pay). 499,999 to go!

Nope. I was trying to explain that to ntwrkguy1.

So regardless of what number they hit, you've already decided whether they're a success/failure?

Insurance costs will increase an average of 51 percent in Wisconsin under the Obamacare exchanges according to an analysis by the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance released Tuesday morning.

..."This is similar to what we have been seeing and hearing and is going to come as a shock to the 225,000 Wisconsin adults who currently have individual policies. Many of them are likely to drop coverage, which will increase the number of uninsured," he said. "These premium increases are also going to come as a shock to taxpayers since much of the increased cost will be paid by the federal government due to the way exchange policies are subsidized. The cost of health care reform is going to be much higher than what taxpayers were told."

I wonder why...not really.
So it doesn't matter to you that your lord and master claims to shoot for 500k but you think "5 or 5000" signups is success?

True obamabot thinking.
