I think the point is ... this is another opportunity to express dislike for people who are dark-skinned. Race is at the heart of the "news", as posted to this forum.
A couple of days ago Russell was detained by the TSA for having a .38 revolver in his carry on. Pres. Obama is on record as supporting a ban on handguns, which would presumably include .38 revolvers Pres. Obama supported the DC hand gun ban. LOTT: Obama's gun ban rhetoric - Washington Times
Mr. Russell apparently felt that it was a good idea for him to have a handgun for protection, yet he enthusiastically supported Obama who would have denied such protection to the great unwashed. It doesn't make sense, unless Russell assumed that he would remain in the privileged class of people still allowed to protect themselves.
Youir credibility, already at a low point, has just dropped off the radar.

I was in grade school in the late 50s, early 60s.
I loved baseball, but didn't care much for basketball.
Sorry!!!!
LOL, no sorry needed I just couldn't believe it!
I am a girl and was born in the 70s and I was also big into baseball (then fast pitch softball in high school and college) but I knew who Bill Russel was.
But my dad is a huge basketball fan and Bill was one of his favorite players and dad is a sports nut for practically every sport. I was the only black girl I knew who loved NASCAR lol. And I still know a lot about various sports that other people don't know about. Dad was also a hockey fan and golf (along with football and baseball). I still play golf but it is hard to find an ice rink in the city of Atlanta proper.

As your video points out, we are talking about 2013, not 1996. When as President did he support a ban on hand guns ?????
I think you just killed the thread.
Good.
