This issue is inconsequential to me. The politicians have more important things to address.

Salami's Law: it is inevitable that someone in a gay rights discussion will claim that homosexuality is being rammed down their throat.

Would should all rally around gay marriage since like the OP claims it will be legal in all 50 states. And plus the gays can become our usefull idiots because the gvt will consider both of gays income when applying for Obamacare subsidies and other gvt beni's. And thus throwing more gays into the exchange with out subsidies and lowering our insurance cost

Do you really not think it's going to be legal by then or sooner?

So many states have already legalized it... Other states that don't have it legalized are going to have to end up honoring their marriage anyways.

So why vote NO? I don't understand that. Do you really want to argue about and try to stop the inevitable?
Why vote No?? So, just because something in likely to become legal, you should be for it? You have no values. If the majority wants it, then you do too? I am against homosexual marriage on religious grounds, and even if I am the only one in the country who is against, so be it. It is still wrong ... or are things only right and wrong according to majority rule, in your eyes? ...and the states that do not recognize will not have to recognize them. States issue marriage licenses, not the Fed. Gun laws aren't that way, and Guns, unlike marriage, IS mentioned in the Constitution!

You're against extending equal rights to gay people on religious grounds? What a disgusting religion you must follow. What other people does you religion demand be denied civil rights? Blacks? Jews? Women?

I am straight, I don't like some gay guys, because they usually talk disgusting
at work. They talk inappropriately about their bodily functions, always talking
about who they think is hot, always staring at people, etc. Always causing
drama. I treat gay guys that act somewhat like the rest of society as any other
person

Funny how yelling now conversation in our society. First of all, marriage is not a right, much less a civil right. Homosexuality is bad behavior. I do not have any problem with blacks, women or Jews. Funny that everyone seems to go there because they assume they know me.

Um, when a state passes a marriage law, it becomes a legal right. So yes, marriage is a right in all 50 US states. (well, more technically, marriage confers to couples a collection of rights). And homosexuality is a sexual orientation, not a behavior.

And I never said you have any problem with women or Jews or blacks. I was simply asking if you do. You told us your religion demands gay people be denied equal rights under the laws of the US. Many people in the US have proclaimed the religious belief that women, Jews, blacks, Catholics, etc be denied equal rights under the laws of the US. I was just curious what other groups of people besides gays, if any, your religion teaches you to hate and deny equal treatment under the law.

14 Supreme Court Cases: Marriage is a Fundamental Right | American Foundation for Equal Rights

The court seems to disagree with you on the civil right issue.
And homosexuality is no more of a bad behavior than heterosexuality is.
