The Republican Party wants nothing to do with Sarah Palin. She represents the crazy views of the lunatic fringe groups (e.g., the Tea Party, Evangelical Christians, Anti-Gay and Anti-Abortion activists, and like fanatics) that have hijacked the party and hold it hostage to their agenda. The GOP - once so lock-step in party unity - is now fractionalized to the point of disintegration; and it is because of stupid people like Sarah Palin, and the even more stupid people that would vote for them. They shall succeed only in driving out true conservatives from the party, alienating the electorate, and orchestrating their own political demise.

I remember feeling energized when Ms. Palin first took the stage as John McCain's running mate, but she turned out to be such a... disappointment. I expected better.

I think many people were impressed with Palin when she first appeared on the national stage. Then she went and opened her mouth...
