Did you read the letter? I just read it and no way is that actually a letter from Barack. Ridiculous story.

Washington Post: Shocking that Obama Didn't Know
Ignorance is bliss isn't it ?

There's so much he "doesn't know".
Makes you wonder who is really running the country ?

Without even knowing the real meaning everyone knows that it's a derogatory term for Tea Party members.

I don't see any response from the WH on this.
If he didn't don't you think they would have jumped on this already ?

That's pretty serious to "make up" a letter from the President of the United States don't you think ?

Even though I tend to be on the conservative side on most issues. God I really wish we had someone like a Kennedy in the office right now.

I'm curious how did you come to that conclusion?

The 2 problems with Obama are:

#1 We elected him to the highest executive office in the country - maybe the world - despite him having ZERO executive experience. Even as a college professor, he never had a class to assign assignments to, to grade, etc...as a legislator he never sponsored or cosponsored bills, never headed up a committee, he was merely present. We elected a man with no executive experience, because he was "cool."

Of course he will struggle as an executive. He struggled as an executive when he party controlled the Senate and House of Reps in the first 2 years. The blame is always getting shifted around. As one of his former economic advisers said "we are home alone and there are no adults home."

#2 Obama's political party refused to hold him accountable for anything. Not even promises that he could easily fulfill himself. He isn't a bad human being, but he has been a bad president, because he doesn't have to do anything....excuses will be made aplenty for anything he does or doesn't do. If power corrupts, shouldn't the man in arguably the most powerful position in the world be held to a certain standard, especially by those that allegedly voted for him based on anti-Bush issues, even more so now that he is Bush III on so many issues?

If that is a real letter and he did indeed refer to folks as "tea-baggers" . . . then all it shows is that the respect that folks lack for the White House is well-founded.

I think we all expect our President to be a person who shows some class . . . and if you look back over this country's history, by and large, as far as interacting with the public (speeches, appearances, personally written correspondence) our Presidents have been a classy lot. There has always been a sense of decorum and tradition and good manners.

I heard the remarks Oprah made recently - that people were not showing the "respect for the office of President" because Obama is black and folks who don't like him are white and racists. I thought - oh my goodness. How the heck can she jump to that when millions of white Americans supported her and if white folks are incapable of respecting black folks (and if the majority are racists), she would never have become the celeb she is and been so successful. So that is faulty reasoning.

The other thing I thought was . . . Obama has chipped away at showing respect for his own office. Small things, such as addressing other international statesmen by their first names, is a faux pas, and I have watched him do this many times and the look on the visiting leader's face was NOT pleased. There is a certain amount of decorum and good manners and protocol that should be observed and that is tied to the respect we give to the office of President. Using slang terms, such as referring to a group as "teabaggers" is another example of chipping away at the respectful leadership role that the President should have.

So, if that letter was written by the President, what it tells me is . . . the public has figured out that this President is not respectful of the citizens whose tax dollars underwrite his salary (and his lifestyle) . . . so why should he be surprised (or act like a victim) when he is not shown the respect his office, in the past, has deserved.

He came up with that conclusion, because a certain segment of society sees Obama as infallible. And this letter is petty.

The annointed one Dear Leader strikes again. LOL

If this letter is legit (on White House Stationary, with writing and a signature that looks like his) the most powerful man on the planet just whined about being called a socialist and accused of using the IRS to target Tea Party groups.

Again life imitates art.

This will be one for the history books.

Keep at it Barak ol'boy.
